RICHMOND COUNCIL FINALLY SEE THE LIGHT
Last night all Mob Members who attended witnessed a stupendous set of events. Richmond Council voted for:
PROACTIVE REFUNDS OF £1.05M
This came about after Lord True tabled an 11th hour amendment to the published agenda.
We had all campaigned hard for this. All Councillors had been sent information regarding Westminster's recent U Turn. This was referred to by Lord True.
The meeting was also webcast live after BE made a request to Lord True to be allowed to film the meeting. This was the first ever meeting at Richmond to be webcast. I have no doubt that the relevant part of The Meeting will be posted soon.
THIS IS NOW A GRAND SLAM OF VICTORIES AT RICHMOND FOR THE MOB
1/. PaTAS Appeal establishes unlawful enforcement.
2/. Unlicensed CCTV Smart Cars taken off the road. They have been off the road for the last 5 months in Richmond.
3/. Council agrees to refund £1.05M in unlawful fines by press advertising asking people to apply. This would mean that few people received refunds.
4/. Unceasing requests for him to resign causes Parking Enforcement Manager to do just that.
5/. Pressure from us causes the British Parking Association to remove the ex parking Manager from the Board of Directors at The British Parking Association. He was previously a "fellow" of The Institute of Parking Professionals also.
6/. After relentless pressure from us Richmond Council finally give in, do a u turn and offer refunds proactively. They will now write to everyone that they unlawfully fined.
