Call from Blake's solicitors regarding TX4 fires... By Stormcab

Got a phone call yesterday from them to give me an update. Firstly I was shocked to hear the case is called "Justin Sneddon & 435 other taxi drivers" lol.

They are going to court again in early October, & after that, they will send another update letter to all the drivers.

All in, there were 12 cabs lost to fires, & that the cause was a crack in the EGR pipe weld. LTI are trying to say it was caused by a solvent used to clean the engine when serviced. The solicitors have said this is utter rubbish.

They asked where I got it serviced, & I said "bought new from KPM, & serviced there to stay within warranty". Unfortunately I don't have the service book because it went up with the cab. Even though they said it wasn't a problem, I said that KPM should still have records, & that as they solely a Mercedes taxi dealership now, they will have no allegiance to LTI so should be helpful.

They said they don't get paid until this is won, so it hasn't been forgotten about or given up on; they will have put a lot of money into this as you can imagine.I am looking to reclaim 3 months of vehicle rental, personal items lost in the cab, extra money I have paid in insurance, & my no claims back.
