Unlicensed Touts are now working from the junction of Piccadilly Circus and Regent Street on a regular basis.
I have on a number of occasions pointed this out to passing Police and Community Support Officers but get the same reply from each;
" It's all a question of priorities and touting is way down the bottom next to dropping litter"
These custodians of the law seem to be oblivious to the fact that in 2009-20011 there were nearly 300 serious sexual assaults including rapes, but this is low priority to these officers.
HOW DO THESE MEN AND WOMEN SLEEP AT NIGHT?
LOW PRIORITY?
Tell that to the young lives that are destroyed
Tell that to the family that will never be the same again.
ALL BECAUSE OF TfL BUDGET CUTS?
I don't think so!
TfL, the Met Police and local councils have let this problem get completely out of control.
This was all done in the name of the STaN agenda, in a bid to clear the streets at night and to stop potential rowdiness from drunken night revellers.
It is now so far out of hand, that the authorities haven't got a clue what to do.
Well here is a suggestion to Peter Hendy, Joe Royle, John Mason;
Resign and get someone in the job who knows what they're doing!

If you read the Badge and the rest of the UTG press none of this is happening. Surely no one is suggesting that there is a 'conspiracy of silence' between the UTG & TfL?

Not so long ago the Police wanted us cabbies to join a scheme making us thier ears and eyes on the street remember......So if now in times of a serious threat of a terroist attack on us we take up that offer,And report every single suspicous car parked outside a nightspot.how would they react.Would we be thier eyes and ears or Bloody time wasting cabbies,who need to get out more.
