As I was being paid off I could see a young lady in some distress arguing with the link man. She approached me and asked how much it would cost to the Hilton Park lane. I said that it would be approximately £7-£8. She asked if I would take her.
As we were about to leave the Hotel, she pointed to two PHV cars ranked up on the Licensed Taxi rank adjacent to the exit of the Hotel in Harbet Road. She said;
"The porter told me it was a fixed price with the Hotel Taxis of £20.00, but he said it was still cheaper than a black cab"
She added;
She added;
"I didn't believe him and as I started to walk towards you he got quite nasty"
Where are the cab enforcement officers, who are supposed to look after the safety of the public. Why are members of the public subjected to this behavior day and night. Private hire has been given the go ahead by TPH to do what ever they like and that includes ranking at hotels on Licensed taxi ranks.
Something needs to be done.
Not in six months time but NOW.

Then no doubt another year of non enforcemnet whilst they consider, then another year when they update the rules followed by (as now) you have guessed it non enforcement!
As the Tout Sqaud will tell you, there is plenty of 'Law' already to clear the touts it just needs the will!

And the biggest bungers are Taxi drivers who started the ball rolling many years ago.
How many can remember the so called hi-tec faces at the port with pagers.
What is it that you expect to be done about this problem...

If we go back about a month,when it all came out about addi/lee,and the howard/swisshotel,I believe such was the evidence that the TPH,had to act,so they went down there gathered information,and boy did they give it to them,did they f***,all they done was said you naughty boys,you cant have a car parked out front,now dont do it again or else,And in true fashion the PHV mob went or else what,Sod off we are PHVs and do what we want.And thats about the crux of it they do,so MR MASON,when we block LONDON on the 17th,dont just think about the rapes you condone,by this shit,Think of the whole picture,because at last we are getting the publics ear,AND WILL BE TELLING THE WHOLE STORY,.......Ever heard the line every worm turns,
