The officers involved are Chief Inspector Joanne Chinn and Inspector David Brown.
The facts surrounding these removals are unknown. It is generally believed that this has been a knee jerk reaction to the unrest, currently spreading through the trade, culminating in a planned mass demonstration scheduled to take place at Oxford Circus next week (17th).
We understand two new replacements have already been found and will be taking up their new posts very soon.

ReplyDeleteSurely its inappropriate for Mr Mason to announce what appears to be the sacking of two senior officers at a non minuted 'get together'.
Regardless of who these people are and why they went surely Mr Mason needs to clear it with the Met?
Can anyone imagine this kind of corner shop gossip happening before TfL took over and began to destroy the worlds best taxi service!

ReplyDeleteWe all want these officers to start doing their job properly but if the are too set in their ways this may prove impossible and they should be removed.
Anyway we cant be sure why this action has been taken at the moment we can only assume.
It should be noted that today an article in the substandard has shown that the Met have also suspended three officers for massaging the serious assault and rape figures.
The true statistics for rape and serious sexual assault in London minicab's could be substantially higher than announced by TfL. But we knew this all along as TfL's figures don't match the ones given by The Havens Rape Crisis Centres.
TfL give the figures as 134 assaults in Licensed and unlicensed minicab's including 29 rapes while The Haven state their records show 143 rapes alone, but unfortunately not all rapes are reported to the police.

Maybe i am just being cynical but,It just seems strange how this has happened coming up to the busiest time of year,We have been pointing out for ages what has been happening only to be ignored by those in authority,Am i imagining this or did the conversation between HENDY,BORIS and ROYAL go something like this,Those bloody cabbies are going to start to demo,The thing is they have a point and FFS we cant have the public knowing how we are letting muggers,rapists,Park up and pick thier prey,ignored by us every night,We massaged the figures,But those fu***rs,have got the right figures from the HAVEN, Tell you what JOE,lets move a cple of your officers,get JOHN MASON to announce it,then it does look as though we are acting for the public,Hate to tell you BORIS it aint gonna work,if the officers aint doing thier jobs SACK THEM,starting with JOE ROYAL,after all if a pub manager is not doing his job,and managing,the brewery dont sack the cleaner,They sack the top man,So PETE and BORIS,have a rethink,because we intend to let the public know exactly how your incompetence is leaving them open to RAPE,ROBBERY and SEXUAL ASSAULT,every night.
