An encouraging word........ from Biggles of Manchester.

A quick bit of info for you!
The equality bill came into force on Oct 1 as you are no doubt aware.
The taxi section 161, doesn’t really affect you in
London. However it will make a difference to your readers re-sale values, especially 06/56 plate TX2's. Mann and Overton here in Manchester last week sent a text out to all the Taxi drivers’ mobiles they could find. They are now offering ex London TX2' FROM 15,950, 2.9% finance over 3 years.

Manchester is the centre metropolis for ten towns.
Most towns already only license TX type vehicles, however 3 of our ten; Rochdale, Wigan and Oldham have mostly saloon cars as Hackney carriage Licensed Taxi’s. Under the provisions of the equality bill these 3 towns will now have to license TX type vehicles until they have a 50% wheelchair accessible vehicle fleet (estimated yet to be confirmed).

I believe because of the equality bill and the need for second hand TX’s on these, and other area’s such as Leeds, the price of ex London TX’s will go through the roof. I would suggest that Mann and Overton will shortly start trying to buy up your TX’s cheaply.
I respectfully suggest you tell your readers to hold on before upgrading and get their prices up. Over the next 6 month's they could be sitting on pure gold

Hope this is useful
Prices set to go sky high soon.
Well done Biggles I’m sure a lot of driver will profit from this interesting piece of information, cheers.
