He shot round to the Club and found one of the leading members of the LTDF Hit Squad talking to the security guard who normally phones for black cabs.
Over this past year the Taxi trade has given the club a fantastic service. Updates about work have been posted on twitter and Dial A Cab terminals. The LTDF also run a text service and supply a number of marshals, at no cost whatsoever to the Hurlingham Club.
An apologetic security man gave the excuse that he was not informed about this fund raising event attended by the Mayor Boris Johnson.

With the help of the dispatchers from Dial A Cab, the club was flooded with Taxi's and eventually the scabs had to leave empty.
Dont take it lying down, take the work back...TtT

So if BORIS was there he must have seen this illegal rank first hand,What did he do about it,Did he get straight on to TOCU,did he demand to see the books of the company,Did he ask to see the CBJs [if there was one]sattelite office license,or did he turn a blind eye,So much for safer travel at night MR MAYOR
ReplyDeleteI don't know why but I think Boris probably asked for there to be minicabs waiting outside,he seems to have nothing but contempt for us.

Yea the scabs left and then went to Dial A Cab’s corporate accounts to get some lucrative work that Brian Rice is giving to them.
The Anderson Shelter keeps on bigging up Dial A Scab as a circuit that is fighting the enemy (minicabs) yet being aware that the circuit is a major supplier in giving taxi work to minicabs.
Something doesn’t add up here! Rice is the problem not the remedy!
cant argue with that

ReplyDeleteYou say Brian Rice is not the remedy, quite right!
But Brian Rice is not Dial a Cab full stop.
Its the drivers and staff of this circuit that we refer to in our posts, they have done fantastic work supporting the LTDF, TaG, UDG, UTG and the RMT. In fact they have supported everyone and anyone who has fought for a better trade.
Just because you have a personal axe to grind with Mr Rice, it should not reflect in a bad attitude towards the wonderful Taxi drivers who make up the rank and file of this or any other circuit.
Its a pity that the trade leaders don't act as responsibly as the trades ordinary working drivers do.
When we put out a call for help, they don't say sorry I'm not in your union/association, they come and help their fellow Taxi drivers.
