New Email campaign!

I have been asked by John the cabby kennedy to set up a new email campaign directed at Westminster Councils recent decision to License rickshaws as Hackney carriages.

This council has done everything in their power to destroy our trade, Please support this campaign. Get your friends and family to join in, lets send them as many emails as we can and let them know we are not happy about this. I will be writting to other driver groups who used the roads in central London as this is going to become very dangerous.

Dear Sir, I am concerned at recent news reports that you “Westminster City Council” wish to licence “rickshaws” I am concerned and would ask you to clarify a number of points which I am raising with you ;

(1) Rickshaws offer no impact protection from side, rear or front impact unlike other modes of transport.

(2) Where will wheelchairs be placed and assistance dogs ?

(3) Will smoking be permitted on rickshaws ?

(4) Where will rickshaws park ? I ask this because we seem to be losing taxi ranks within the West End of London.

(5) What legal status do you seek to be given to “rickshaws” ?

(6) What role is transport for London playing in this scheme ?
